S2 E14 | Reconnecting to Your Roots with Natalie Bowen Brookshire

March 08, 20231 min read

Where are you disconnected from your roots?

How can you reconnect to your roots and to what is true for you?

One of the most important aspects of self-discovery is reconnecting to our roots. By understanding our past and our family history, we can gain a better understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.

When we take the time to reconnect to our roots, we can gain a better understanding of our identity and our purpose. This can help us to better navigate our relationships and create meaningful connections.

My guest today, Natalie Bowen Brookshire, shares her story of reconnecting to her roots and how it was an important part of her self-discovery and understanding of her identity.

Natalie has lived a life centered around flowers for her entire professional career. A daughter of a garden designer and a Grand-daughter of a florist in San Francisco, she has continued the tradition of working with flowers and opened her floral design studio in SF in 2004. After years of doing flowers from Sonoma County to Mexico, Natalie is taking a break from events and concentrating on doing online classes and encouraging others to fill their life with beauty with meaning. Natalie currently resides in Northern California with her two young children, her two perfect cats, and her husband.

In this episode, you will learn:

  • How to use different tools to reconnect with yourself and your roots

  • The importance of following your passions

  • Why in order to grow you have to go through the discomfort
